This is our club

The Old Rutlishians' Rugby Club was formed in 1923 as part of the Old Boys Association of Rutlish School, which was set up in 1906. Originally ex pupils joined, however for the last 25 years it has been open for all to join. We currently run 2 Senior sides and we run a highly successful Youth section for Junior and Mini rugby.

The club has played at its ground in Poplar Road, Merton Park, London for over eighty years.

Our Youth sides play in Surrey Under 18s to Under 13s league and friendly matches further afield. Our Minis play fixtures in around Surrey and Middlesex with a tour to Somerset in the Spring.

The Old Ruts 1st XV currently plays in Surrey County Division 2 following promotion as runners up during the 2010/11 season, and the 2nd XV will play in Surrey Conference 2 follwing their championship winning season during the 2010/11 season.

We also have an excellent clubhouse (not a typical scruffy rugby club!) with plenty of social nights every season and cricket in the Summer at which many of our rugby players can be seen!
